10 Swimsuits Under $100

10 Swimsuits under $100

Are you currently searching for swimsuits for your next vacation or for the summer? These are my favorites below $100. Retro styled, high-waist bottoms, ruffles, black and white swimsuits are in vogue and I also love Triangl swim wears. I like to shop early for swimsuits in order to avoid last minute rushes prior to taking vacations.

What are your favorite swimsuit styles?

THE UNSTYLISH TRAVELER

COUNTRY ROAD BLAZER (similar here and here) / GANNI TOP / AG JEANS / VINTAGE SCARF / SWAROVSKI BRACELET

Now, after an amazing time in Australia I stand before that glorious 28 hour journey back to London. As much as I can loose myself in "How (insert gorgeous celebrity) travels in style" articles, I have had to face the fact, that for me, looking even just moderately stylish whilst traveling is completely unattainable. Any slight heel would loose it's height by the time I got to Singapore by the weight of my massive backpack (yes, backpack, and we're talking XXL). Indeed, you shall find me completely unkempt, no make-up - not even concealer - with my head down in my back pack in a desperate attempt to find contacts. This, my friends, is why I put sticky-tape over the camera on my phone pointed towards me. It's something that lies deep within me and I believe also our culture, a faulted myth of human history, that self-esteem and self-worth lies in those outer components and that we constantly need to keep up appearances, even when we're on the go, to be worthy of others' attention, kindness and time. Sidetracking it, I know, but it's a subject I'd like to dig into more at another time!

However, having been involved with a certain fairy-tale picture recently, I can't say it hasn't rekindled the idea, that at some point in my life I will magically transform into a stylish jet-set unicorn with a 24/7 glorious yoga glow going on. I don't know how much coconut water it's going to take, but let me know and I'll fill in the order right now!

HOPE YOU'RE HAVING A REALLY WONDERFUL START TO YOUR WEEK

5 Common Mistakes About Bloggers

Bloggers are seen as having perfect lives, perfect careers and perfect selfies. Things aren’t always how they seem especially when it comes to blogging. Here are 5 common mistakes people make about bloggers.

1. Blogging is easy to do
This year I’m entering my 6th year blogging. That seems crazy to type as I never imagined in a million years something I’d start one day aged 15 would still be a part of my life at 21 years old. The amount of times I’ve reshot photos, stayed up until 1-2am editing posts and emailing. With being a full-time student it’s definitely a lot harder to blog as well.

2. Bloggers are really confident
Yes there are some really confident bloggers out there but there are a lot of us (including myself) who are a little body conscious. Yes we may post hundreds of photos of what we’ve been wearing and how we wear our clothes but we’re not the most confident people in the world. We’re real people just like you.

3. It’s all about the freebies
When I have parcels delivered all the time to my house and my student house my family and housemates could easily think I get everything for free. When I started blogging I had no idea about PR, Social Media and gifting, which is now a norm for many bloggers. Most bloggers (including myself) started blogging as a hobby and blog for nothing and still continue to treat blogging that way. Blogging is a hobby to me and any money I earn is an extra.

4. That Life is perfect
I even think this myself from time to time. I sometimes see photos of bloggers and think their lives must be perfect. Yes you see bloggers instagramming everything they’re up to, all the amazing events they get invited to. I don’t get the chance to go to many events, as I don’t live in London.

5. Bloggers are obsessed with appearance
Bloggers aren’t always obsessed with appearance. Everyone likes to look good for a photo but we have no-make up days to and days we just want to chill out and relax. I don’t wear make-up unless I’m going out and I’m totally fine with just lounging around in a jumper and leggings!

These are just some of the misconceptions I think people have about bloggers. Can you relate to any of these?

I love how occasionally it's been really nice weather here in the UK. This means summer is here! I love summer, It's my favourite time of the year and when this playsuit arrived in my postbox I knew it would be a great summer staple for those sunny days. If you've not heard of Pretaportabello before you're definitely missing out. They are a family run business which stock so many gorgeous items. They're so affordable too, it's like shopping on Topshop or ASOS. If you're looking for slightly more quirky items Pretaportabello is the place for you!

I think wearing white with such a statement piece like this playsuit really tones the outfit down so it doesn't look too bold. I'm loving slogan clutches at the moment and I think adding one to your wardrobe this summer will be an essential!
