UNINTENTIONAL ATTACHMENT

ALEXA CHUNG FOR AG JEANS DRESS / VINTAGE BOOTS / MICHAEL KORS SUNGLASSES / MS BAG / CARAVELLE WATCH

It is very rare, that I become emotionally attached to a piece of clothing. Mind you, I love fashion almost to an unhealthy extent, however, multiple ketchup-spill episodes has taught me never to get attached. A garment of mine is most likely destined to end its days covered in food-stains, unworn in the "miscellaneous" corner of my wardrobe saved for special occasions (read: dinner in the dark, where I'll take the opportunity to casually mention that I'm wearing the coolest Etre Cécile jumper, and make a mortified remark over the spots obviously made in the dark). So to put it mildly: I don't commit.

But this dress.

Where to begin. I just knew. From the moment I put it on. It's like when you found that stray cat / mouse / hamster in your neighbourhood - your mum most likely didn't even know what it was - but you didn't care. You named it something cute and fluffy but vowed you wouldn't get attached. But it's already too late. Same goes for this dress. Alexa Chung somehow just knew exactly what I was missing, when she created this collection for AG Jeans. I am left completely smitten, and even with a dress (every girl knows deep down whether she's a trouser or dress kind of girl, and I'm not the last one)! In fashion as in love, we fall for the unexpected, caught off guard - most importantly for a life long spot-less relationship - don't touch the ketchup.
